Having returned from the sub-tropical climate of Hilton Head Island, USA with their two, much loved pets - Reese, a chocolate and tan Chihuahua and Oscar a tabby rescue kitty - they were unable to find funky coats and accessories for them.
Initially, Sara imported clothing for Reese from US boutiques to ensure Reese was warm in the British winter. It was only when people stopped her in the street to ask where they were purchased that she had her Eureka moment, and PetzCrazee was born.
Initially a web-based retail store, PetzCrazee was awarded the UK distribution of Puppy Angel pet apparel and accessories in 2004.
Since that time we have worked very closely with Puppy Angel to expand their range to suit the needs and wants of the western market. Initially only catering for small dogs Puppy Angel now makes clothing for dogs as large as Great Danes and offers over 400 styles per collection of clothing, beds, collars, leads, charms and carriers.
In 2008 we started distributing Pet Head to the UK and act as master distributor for Europe too.
We have a shop in Ipswich, Suffolk and warehousing in Ipswich and neighbouring Woodbridge. We enjoy meeting our many customers (and their owners) and look forward to every varied day!
Our emphasis is very much on people and their loved pets. We don't endorse pets as accessories but prefer to match the dog's needs (and wants) with the highest regard for animal welfare. We also work closely with manufacturers and suppliers who share our holistic approach to business.
In 2006, along with Puppy Angel's staff, we rescued a beautiful Toy Poodle we named Franc from deathrow in Seoul, South Korea. In 2007 Sara and Josh also adopted a 19 year old Chihuahua who was difficult to home due to his age. Unfortunately Jerry is no longer with us but spent the last three years of his life being very pampered indeed. We are still lucky enough to have Reese and Millie (another rescue Chi) help out in the office though :-)
As PetzCrazee continues to grow we still hold our values dear. We aim to provide the best products, at the best price, with great customer service, delivered in a timely manner. We are also actively involved in helping rescue groups and saving abandoned dogs and cats around the world.
